Citywealth Leaders List, 60 seconds interview – Anna Josse, Prism the Gift Fund
This week’s 60 seconds Citywealth Leaders List interview is dedicated to Anna Josse, CEO of Prism the Gift Fund.

Tell Citywealth readers a bit about your role.
As Founder and CEO, it’s a mixture of maintaining the objectives of the charity, overseeing its direction, and working closely with the senior management team so that we are all aligned and working strategically and practically together. I also spend a lot of time networking to continue building and attracting new clients while maintaining key relationships with existing clients.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I’m not sure there are typical days at Prism. My time is spent meeting prospects, speaking at events, meeting with the Prism team, talking to trustees, attending networking events, and doing the odd bit of firefighting.
Tell us about some recent, interesting client instructions/requests you have received.
We are built for complexity. We are buying land for a client in Australia that will be loaned to an environmental charity. We have also been granted 400 microscopes, which we have onward gifted to a museum at Oxford University.
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping your clients to overcome them?
We help clients navigate complex gifts of assets into Prism, manage complex distributions to global charities, and educate them around tax-effective giving. We have Prism Offshore, Prism US and, in 2025, launched a dual-qualified structure for donors with both UK and US tax obligations.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
The creation of Prism the Gift Fund, which has received more than £1 billion in donation income since I established it in 2005.
What do you consider to be the most important attributes for a leader?
Resilience, together with strong organisational, communication and entrepreneurial skills.
Who do you most admire and why?
Moses – he was a great leader and modest. A rare combination!
Where was the last place you travelled to for work or pleasure?
Zighy Bay in Oman, which is a beautiful place near the Strait of Hormuz. I arrived back in London on a Friday afternoon, and later that night the Iran war kicked off. I was very fortunate with my timing.
If you weren’t in this industry, what else might you be doing?
Running a waterski school.
How do you relax after a long day?
Slalom mono waterskiing.
