Powerwomen Awards 2024
Championing Women in the Wealth Sector

Citywealth is delighted to open its thirteenth year awards programme to champion women in the wealth sector and highlight the female leaders of today and tomorrow. The awards spotlight individuals and companies who support caregiving responsibilities, female leadership, and celebrate diversity.
Women comprised 45% of all new Fortune 500 board appointments in 2021, a new high, while Black directors were 26% of new appointees, a tad lower than 2020 after a surge that year, according to a report released by executive search and leadership consulting firm Heidrick & Struggles. Whilst we must celebrate this change, as one lawyer at a leading UK law firm said, “if you don’t keep your foot on the peddle, things go backwards quickly.” Let’s continue to keep the pressure on and keep #payingitforward for future generations.
The Powerwomen Awards 2024 will both recognise individuals and companies who maximise the potential of women in wealth, and will also create a platform for best practice to collectively exercise positive social influence on the sector.
During 2020 the decision was taken to widen the remit of the Powerwomen Awards to recognise women in North America. The categories in the contest are now open to organisations and women located globally. As this is a larger audience to serve, geographically, the contest format has now changed.

"It is an honour to be listed as a Women of the Year in Citywealth Powerwomen Awards for a second year in a row. The awards presents an incredible amount of strong female individuals across the financial industry that are leading the way for future generations. It is an empowering initiative to be a part of.”
Alex Gardner, Affinity Group
"The event was a wonderful experience, it was uplifting to be in a room of women who were celebrating their success. We were all genuinely thrilled for one another, which was lovely. The awards are great inspiration for the next generation of staff, and it would maybe be an idea to have a next gen type awards at some point. It was fantastic for networking and meeting people, we went for supper with people we met at the event, which wouldn’t have happened otherwise."
Gwenllian Le Blond, IQ-EQ
"When I saw the line up, I was flawed – each and every one of those who had been nominated were such inspirational ladies. I was therefore delighted to learn that I was one of those ladies, and even more so when I won gold for crypto / fintech innovation – UK alongside PMC’s Anna Worwood who, as head of our family department, won Inspirational Women of the Year. I hope that these awards inspire those just starting off in their careers to push hard and – as Tanya Beckett said during the awards ceremony - to not only talk the talk but to also walk the walk."
