Hawksford granted trust licence by Monetary Authority of Singapore
Hawksford can now provide trust services in Singapore, having secured a trust licence.
The licence, issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), enables the international corporate, private client and fund administration services specialist to provide trust services to private and corporate clients seekingregulated trust services in one of Asia’s premier financial centres.
Michel van Leeuwen, group CEO, said: “This is a significant development for Hawksford and our global client base. The licence greatly enhances our client service capabilities and now also enables us to offer first class trust and fiduciary services in Asia.”
Hawksford employs more than seventy staff across Asia, delivering corporate services to businesses and now looks forward to growing its trust and fiduciary offering in the region. Michael Powell, Hawksford founding director and qualified trust practitioner, will join the board of the Singapore trust business.
