Apps have taken over the wellbeing industry, for some years now, changing the way we train, manage sleep and count calories. During January Karen Jones, Citywealth’ s editor and Calin Lapuste, who is heading the US operations, have tried a new service called Feed Me Seymour, which aims to educate, offer nutritious meals and delivery to your office.

For decades workplace food has been a simple function of satisfying hunger at the lowest cost, and workplace wellness has focused on health but perhaps not diet. That is where Feed Me Seymour comes in. Considering 80% of your health is determined by your diet, eating well is essential for physical and mental health. Optimised nutrition has been demonstrated to significantly reduce losses in terms of absenteeism and is a benefit for staff that may help retention.

Feed Me Seymour offers a wide variety of plant-based and organic meals. It is easy to use, all done online via an app where you can lodge your health goals and priorities. A personalised recommendation is generated, and you will be able to select from a variety of meals for your office breakfast, lunch and even dinner, alongside snacks and supplements to support your day-to-day food intake. Feed me Seymour are using a world class dietitian and Michelin starred chefs to supply food for mental clarity, energy, stress reduction, weight loss, anti-inflammation, gut health, detoxification, or improved sleep. Feed Me Seymour uses only biodegradable packaging.

The Citywealth team were impressed by the complexity of the information provided by the Feed Me Seymour app and the food options suggested for their goals. The food arrived at the office on time, during the agreed time slots. Each morning breakfast, lunch and a combo of smoothies, supplements and pantry snacks were delivered with vitamins and protein powder drinks.

It may require a subscription so please enquire about the finer details with Feed Me Seymour. They operate high levels of GDPR, but your organisation may need to understand the app use. Considering the whole programme though as an alternative to high street shops they are certainly head and shoulders above the offerings available to staff.
