Tell Citywealth readers a bit about your role.

I am a Managing Director and Partner at BTG Pactual, where I lead Wealth Planning and Social Responsibility and co-lead our ESG and Impact Investing division. My role sits at the intersection of private wealth, long-term capital allocation and purpose. I work closely with families, entrepreneurs and institutions to structure wealth across generations, integrating governance, philanthropy, sustainability and impact investing into their overall financial strategy.

What does a typical day look like for you?

No two days are the same, which is part of what I enjoy most. My day usually involves a mix of strategic client discussions, internal coordination with investment and structuring teams, and work related to our social-impact platforms. I often split my time between advising families on complex wealth-planning decisions, developing impact and ESG solutions, and engaging with external partners—from philanthropic organizations to global sustainability initiatives.

Tell us about some recent, interesting client instructions or requests you have received.

Recently, several clients have asked for support in transitioning from traditional philanthropy to more structured impact strategies—such as creating family foundations, endowments or impact funds aligned with their values and business expertise. Another recurring request is helping families prepare the next generation, not only financially, but in terms of governance, education and responsibility around wealth and capital stewardship.
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping them overcome them?
Many clients face the challenge of complexity—complex family structures, global assets, regulatory environments and differing generational expectations. There is also a growing desire to align wealth with purpose without compromising financial discipline. We help by providing holistic solutions that combine technical excellence in wealth planning with clear governance structures, education for heirs, and access to high-quality ESG and impact investments.

What is your proudest professional achievement?

I am particularly proud of building and scaling platforms within BTG that integrate social responsibility and impact investing into our offering. Seeing these initiatives create tangible social and environmental outcomes while becoming strategically relevant to the firm and our clients is extremely rewarding.

What do you consider to be the most important attributes for a leader?

Clarity of values, consistency and the ability to listen. A leader needs to make decisions with conviction, but also remain open to learning and different perspectives. I also believe empathy and accountability are essential—especially when leading teams and advising families through sensitive, long-term decisions.

Who do you most admire and why?

I most admire my mother. She has been a kindergarten teacher for 47 years and is still actively working, now as the director of her school. She is deeply involved in philanthropic initiatives, while also being an entrepreneur and a natural leader. She combines empathy with discipline, purpose with execution. From her, I learned that leadership is not about titles, but about responsibility—showing up every day, caring genuinely about people, and building things that create lasting impact.

Where was the last place you travelled to for work or pleasure?

The last place I travelled to was Switzerland, with my family. It was a special trip where we were able to enjoy nature, spend meaningful time together, and slow down—something that feels increasingly valuable in a very fast-paced professional life.

If you weren’t in this industry, what else might you be doing?

I would likely still be working in a field connected to education and social development—building projects that combine structure, long-term thinking, and tangible positive impact on society.

How do you relax after a long day?

Spending time with my family is my main way of recharging. I also enjoy exercising in any form and carving out quiet moments for reading—simple routines that create space, restore perspective, and help me reset after demanding days.
