Tell Citywealth readers a bit about your role.
I lead the strategic direction and growth of the business, focusing on building strong client relationships, expanding our network and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional advice. My role combines leadership, business development and long-term strategy. I spend a significant amount of time identifying opportunities for growth, strengthening partnerships and supporting our team to provide the highest level of service to clients.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day is a blend of strategic planning, leadership and client engagement. I spend time working with the team on business strategy, exploring new opportunities and meeting with clients and professional partners. I’m also focused on business development, strengthening relationships within our network and identifying ways to expand our offering while maintaining the quality and culture of the firm.
Tell us about some recent, interesting client instructions you have received.
Recently we worked with a client who was looking to restructure their wealth across several jurisdictions while preparing the next generation to take on greater responsibility within the family business. The engagement involved coordinating advisors across multiple disciplines and ensuring the structure aligned with the family’s long-term vision. These projects are particularly rewarding because they combine strategic thinking, leadership and collaboration.
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping your clients to overcome them?
Clients are increasingly dealing with uncertainty, whether from regulatory change, geopolitical developments or shifting market conditions. As a business, our role is to provide clarity and confidence. We focus on long-term strategy, building the right advisory network around clients and ensuring their structures remain flexible and resilient as circumstances evolve.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
Building and leading a business that clients trust and that talented professionals want to be part of is something I’m particularly proud of. Seeing the firm grow, develop strong relationships and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients is extremely rewarding.
What do you consider to be the most important attributes for a leader?
Integrity, vision and the ability to empower others. A good leader sets a clear direction but also creates an environment where talented people can thrive and contribute their ideas. Building trust, both within the team and with clients, is essential.
Who do you most admire and why?
I admire leaders who combine long-term vision with resilience and humility. The ability to stay focused on strategy while adapting to change is something that stands out in any successful business leader.
Where was the last place you travelled to for work or pleasure?
My most recent trip was to South Africa which provided a great opportunity to connect with clients and professional partners, as well as our growing team in Johannesburg, while also experiencing a different environment. Travel often offers valuable perspective.
If you weren’t in this industry, what else might you be doing?
I would likely be building or scaling a business in another sector. I’ve always enjoyed strategy, entrepreneurship and bringing people together to create something that grows over time.
How do you relax after a long day?
I like to unwind by listening to podcasts, spending time with family and watching my favourite football team (Man Utd). It helps clear the mind and recharge for the next day.
