Citywealth Leaders List, 60 seconds interview – Morgan Alleyn, Crestbridge Fiduciary, Wyoming
This week’s 60 seconds Citywealth Leaders List interview is dedicated to Morgan Alleyn, Managing Director – USA at Crestbridge Fiduciary, Wyoming. She leads Crestbridge Fiduciary’s experienced US team of trust professionals, providing technical expertise and world-class service to US clients. A former US attorney, Morgan Alleyn has extensive experience in international tax and tax controversy, advising individuals and families on cross-border trusts, estates, business interests and investments.

What does a typical day look like for you?
No two are ever the same, which I love. I do have somewhat of a pattern though: mornings typically involve meetings and afternoons tend to be for action (reviewing files and proposals, or managing general operational issues).
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping your clients to overcome them?
Many of my clients are focused on the transfer of wealth to the next generation, while also passing on the values and character that helped create it. That isn’t always easy, but Wyoming’s trust and privacy laws offer some effective and interesting solutions.
We also work closely with each client to understand their goals, their family dynamics and any gaps in their planning, then build strategies that reflect what matters most to them.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
In my former career as a tax attorney, I helped a widow recover significant assets held by an uncooperative overseas bank. It was a complex case involving trusts, multiple jurisdictions’ inheritance laws, foreign assets and tax reporting, but with some hard work and help of local counsel, we secured full access to the assets and resolved the reporting issues without any penalties. This was one of those moments when you realise it’s more than a job. Seeing the relief we brought our client was incredibly powerful and rewarding, and reinforced why I love this work and what a difference my skills could make for someone.
What do you consider to be the most important attributes for a leader?
Communication and collaboration. No one person has all the answers. The best leaders recognise the strengths others bring. Building a great team starts with listening, understanding different perspectives, and creating an environment where everyone can flourish and contribute.
Where was the last place you travelled to for work or pleasure
I was recently in Miami for work, and it was an amazing experience. The people were welcoming, the weather was lovely (at least for a native Houstonian!) and it was fun to experience such a vibrant soccer city during the World Cup.
How do you relax after a long day?
We’re lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, so my family and I spend as much time outdoors as we can—walking, hiking and exploring. Fresh mountain air and family time are the perfect way to recharge, reflect and re-group. In the evenings, you’ll usually find me reading or working on my latest knitting or crochet project.
