The Channel Islands featured strongly amongst the awards handed out at the annual Citywealth Brand Management & Reputation Awards that took place this week on 20th June at the 5 star Scotland Yard Hotel in Westminster, London. As many as twenty-three awards were handed out to individuals and companies based in or with offices in the Channel Islands, including nine Gold awards.
In its seventh year, these annual awards were created to highlight the best brands and their communication strategies. They also recognise the ever important marketing and press function within financial services and the challenges it faces as it switches to ESG stakeholder models.
Now more than ever, the pandemic and remote working have highlighted the importance of communication within organisations and employee brand. Communication tools have also changed, with podcasts and webinars now mainstream. AI is also playing an increasingly important role within the wealth management industry.
The awards were hosted by Alistair Barrie, a BBC and Comedy Store regular, who has been twice nominated for best show at the Edinburgh Festival.
The winners were determined by an independent panel of eleven industry judges after the shortlist was published online and public voting took place. 90% of the voting was decided by the judges and 10% by the public vote over a period of a year.
Following the networking cocktail party, more than 70 gold, silver and bronze awards were handed out, in addition to the much prized Editor’s Choice Award, Outstanding Individual of the Year Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Karen Jones, founder, CEO and editor of Citywealth, commented on the awards: “Citywealth is delighted to celebrate the organisations who are moving from shareholder to stakeholder models, as the rise of
ESGvalues continues. With winners for employee brand, thought leadership and reputation management, the Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation Awards find the innovation, care and compliance, thought leadership and reputation management that makes our winners from the Channel Islands the right companies to work for and invest in”
