Peters May worked on the legal side of my divorce, having been introduced to me by a friend and ex work colleague. From day one I was impressed by their professionalism ' I spoke with Juliette Peters initially, determining the case and what would be needed, and we followed this up with a meeting with Juliette and Jessica, at which I was given a likely timeline and outline of costs.
From then on my engagements with Juliette were excellent, using my preferred modes of communication ' be it email, video call, mobile or WhatsApp ' which were determined by the complexity of the issue at hand.
Juliette kindly arranged for a paralegal, Ed Wells, to complete quite a lot of the more rudimentary work, to save me on the cost side ' I was very appreciative of this.
During the process, my ex-wife decided to drop her solicitor as he was being very awkward, so Juliette helped get both sides over the line from then on ' both my ex-wife and I appreciated this. This included a zoom call with us all to iron out some of the niggly issues.
Overall, Juliette made the whole process bearable ' for such a tough, emotionally taxing issue. Her style has always been professional, but incredibly personal, with all the incumbent problems such as finances, children, property.
A class act ' I wouldn't hesitate to refer Juliette and her firm in the future.

Juliette was not fazed by anything - dealing with agencies regarding safeguarding, domestic violence, coercive control and stalking. I never had anything less than complete confidence in her judgment. She secured a barrister who was a brilliant, game changing advocate. Her friendship, integrity and attention to detail tempered the trauma of the process, its preparation and prosecution. Juliette achieved an excellent settlement for me. She ensured my ex-husband adhered to the terms of my spousal maintenance court order despite him attempting to defy it twice in the first year - most recently asserting COVID-19 reasons. Juliette acted swiftly to protect my finances and the privacy of my new location. Juliette's brilliant enforcement application and statement in support remain with the court. Advising female HNW on prenup
Juliette secured a housing provision, security, and a safety net clause covering any outstanding needs for a female high net worth client.
The initial document received from the other side provided no proper housing provision, a clean break, no maintenance and was manifestly unfair towards the client. Juliette had to start the drafting again from scratch. Initially dubious about negotiating strongly, the client was taken to see Counsel and the document was redrafted. Juliette firm was able to secure the client a proper housing provision, security and a safety net clause covering any outstanding needs at the time of any breakdown of the marriage.
The tight timeframe to appropriately counsel the client and redraft all documentation is testament to her commercial strength. The firm was flexible on fees and met the client outside working hours when necessary.
Advising on a cohabitation agreement
Juliette acted for a lady in a relationship with an extremely wealthy man still going through a divorce from his first wife. The pair, who have a young child together, are in an extremely volatile relationship. She successfully advised on the cohabitation agreement to provide the client and her child with a home in London worth in excess of £1.5million and to secure them both with future financial security.
