Feuding family overturn corporate restraining order at the High Court
In a heavily-fought matrimonial case, a husband obtained an ex parte (restraining) order in the Family Court to prevent his wife and son from performing their duties as directors of two family companies. I represented the son, who successfully applied to set aside the order and additionally have the husband pay his costs. In a landmark judgment, a High Court Judge accepted my argument that the Family Court had no jurisdiction to make such a ruling.
