Tax planning for an international footballer

I have been advising a high profile premier league footballer on all aspects of his UK tax and personal legal affairs. The client is resident non-domiciled in England and Wales and part of the work has involved liaising with lawyers and advisers in three other European jurisdictions.
The bulk of the work involved setting up a trust and corporate structure covering both the UK and overseas to receive income relating to footballing and non-footballing activities undertaken by the client in the UK and overseas. This has involved analysis of UK income and employment taxes, as well as inheritance and capital gains tax.
The client has entered into endorsement contracts with various firms and we have advised on the impact and nature of those agreements. The client now has a robust structure in place which will serve him throughout his career and protect his wealth for his family.
