Case study 1 – Purchase for celebrity actor
Bethan was instructed on the sale of an actor’s property and a subsequent purchase of flat in the BBC television Centre.

On the sale, an exclusivity agreement was entered into with a quick exchange and completion deadline. The purchase was a highly sought-after property and consisted of both the main property and a storage unit that was subject to its own lease and premium.

Due to the client’s domicile and property portfolio, the client required specialist tax advice from our in-house tax adviser. We also had to exchange and complete within a short timeframe to meet both our client’s and the developer‘s timeframes.

Case study 2 – Purchase for a HNW couple
Bethan was instructed on the purchase of a London townhouse from an international singer. There were issues with the fact the seller had carried out alterations to the property in breach of listed building consent.

Bethan undertook a site inspection of the property with the client to check whether the unauthorised alterations were too significant. Due to the site inspection we were able to reassure the client that the unauthorised alterations could be covered by an indemnity policy.
