Verso Wealth Management achieves double accreditation for professional excellence
Verso Wealth Management is delighted to announce the renewal of its corporate Chartered Financial Planners (CFP) status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and its Accredited Financial Planning Firm™ (AFPF) status by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

The double accolade makes Verso one of the few financial planning firms in the UK to hold both accreditations, which are the hallmark of professional excellence.
The criteria for these accreditations are among the most rigorous in the financial planning profession, with less than 60 firms in the UK holding CISI Accredited Firm status, and only a handful meeting the professional standard to have both credentials. Among the highest professional accolades in financial planning, CFP and AFPF status recognises Verso’s technical expertise, best practice in the delivery of financial planning services and commitment to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
CFP and AFPF status also reflect Verso’s commitment to advancing the professional development of its advisers and advocating for professional best practice across the profession. In support of this, Verso has created two professional development programmes for its employees. The Verso Academy provides aspiring advisers or paraplanners with the FCA recognised Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA), training in essential soft skills, and mentorship from seasoned professionals, all focused on developing skilled, qualified advisers and paraplanners. The Verso Chartered Pathway is aimed at qualified advisers who wish to deepen their expertise and achieve CII Chartered status. These initiatives are enhanced further with the appointment of Carly Dunningham, Director of Verso Wealth Management Liverpool, as Chair of the CISI Financial Planning Forum, whose members collaborate and share best practice to advance the development of the financial planning community.
Alan Mathewson, Group Chief Executive of Verso, commented on the achievement, “We are pleased to have our corporate Chartered and Accredited Financial Planning firm status reaffirmed by the CII and CISI. Difficult to obtain in the first instance, they are equally difficult to maintain. That we did so during a period of integration and change marks a fantastic accomplishment for our firm. This double accolade recognises our commitment to ensuring we meet the highest levels of technical proficiency, the calibre of our advisers and our passion for delivering the best quality advice for our clients. Being recognised by both professional bodies reinforces our position as one of the UK’s most trusted and highly accredited financial planning firms.”
