Regent Seven Seas x Fabergé setting sail
Regent Seven Seas Cruises celebrated its next chapter with an immersive experience of its newest ship, the Seven Seas Grandeur. The event, featuring a selection of Fabergé jewels and a £150k bed, showcased just a few of the luxuries aboard the new cruise line.

Hosted at Frameless in Marble Arch, the immersive art experience venue, event guests were able to have a 360 virtual experience of the new Grandeur. Guests were treated to delicious canapes and free flowing drinks, including a signature cocktail developed for the new ship. There was even the opportunity to get tucked in to a bed worth £150,000, designed by luxury bedmakers Hastens. Every aspect of the launch was tailored to provide guests with a true taste of the unparalleled luxury experience of the Grandeur.
Plinths exhibiting select Fabergé jewels were scattered around the reception area, in celebration of Regent’s collaboration with the renowned jewelry maison. As part of the collaboration, Regent previously announced the commission of a one-of-a-kind, meticulously hand-crafted objet d’art known as Journey in Jewels. As the Grandeur’s crowning jewel, alongside the ship’s multi-million dollar art collection, this Fabergé egg will be the first-ever permanent resident of its kind on the open seas.
Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, gave guests further insight into the new ship and the collaboration with Fabergé before appointing Sarah Fabergé, who was also in attendance, as the godmother of the Grandeur. The great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, Sarah is Director of Special Projects and Founding Member of the Fabergé Heritage Council. She will officially christen the ship at an exclusive gala event in Miami, Florida on 10 December 2023, before the Grandeur embarks on its maiden voyage on a 3-night trip to the Caribbean.
Andrea DeMarco said: “As a founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council, Sarah symbolises the shared ethos and distinctive qualities that define our two eminent luxury brands and is therefore the ideal Godmother of our newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur. We are deeply honoured to name Sarah Fabergé as Godmother, and I am delighted to welcome her to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises family.”
“Seven Seas Grandeur has been inspired by the past and stunningly reimagined for the future, exemplifying our heritage of perfection with unrivalled space, unparalleled service, epicurean perfection, and transformative experiences that begin the moment guests step aboard. Fabergé’s storied legacy of unwavering perfection, unparalleled craftsmanship, and relentless pursuit of excellence aligns harmoniously with the core values of our own distinguished luxury brand.”
The Grandeur will provide among the highest space and staff to guest ratios in the industry, with a gross tonnage of 55,500 and only 746 guests. The ship was designed by the award-winning Studio DADO and, once onboard, guests will find captivatingly reimagined designs for the signature restaurants Compass Rose and Prime 7. From the palatial, $11,000-a-night Regent Suite, to the contemporary, yet timeless, Distinctive Suites, to the beautifully appointed Spacious Suites, the Grandeur features 15 stunning accommodation categories.
The Grandeur’s inaugural season begins in November 2023 and discovers the Mediterranean and the Caribbean with a wonderful range of 18 sailings in the regions, including two transatlantic voyages.
