Impetus Trust CEO joins Said Business School Advisory Council

Daniela Barone Soares, chief executive of Impetus Trust, has been appointed to the Business Advisory Council of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. The School is dedicated to developing a new generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs and to conducting research to understand the nature of business and the connections between business and the wider world.

The School’s Business Advisory Council was established to create a network of senior business people to provide independent advice and guidance to the School as it continues to grow and develop. Its membership is drawn from the prominent figures in business. The members of the Business Advisory Council individually and collectively leverage their own knowledge and expertise to inform, challenge and debate the School’s strategy and ensure its immediate relevance to business and government.

Commenting on her appointment to the Council, Daniela Barone Soares said: “Sa√Ød Business School attracts students, researchers and staff from more than 50 countries and it is this diversity that gives the School its unique global perspective. It is a privilege to join the Council and I look forward to drawing on my international experience.‚Äù

Daniela Barone Soares joined Impetus Trust as Chief Executive in June 2006. Prior to joining Impetus, Daniela was Head of Institutional Support at Save the Children. The majority of her career has been in private equity and venture capital, with BancBoston Capital in the U.S., Europe and in the UK, Citigroup in Brazil and Goldman Sachs in New York. She has a Bsc in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
