Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2023 – New York report and pictures

After the big success of its London awards ceremony, Citywealth’s Powerwomen Awards 2023 landed in New York.
The awards want to celebrate individuals as well as companies who constantly support female leadership, caregiving responsibilities and diversity.
The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2023 – New York took place in person at the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management offices in the heart of The Big Apple, on March 7th 2023, with Jan Hopkins as speaker and Francesca Boschini, Director, Head of International Wealth Planning & Head of Insurance Solutions – Americas as event partner and host. After a champagne reception, the cocktail party began with a selection of delicious canapes, among which steak tartare and truffle arancini, while the Powerwomen 2023 winners were announced, invited on stage and given the trophy.
After a welcome speech delivered by Citywealth’s CEO and Editor Karen Jones, host Jan Hopkins presented the Powerwomen 2023 awards winners. Jan Hopkins was the President of the Economic Club of New York from 2008–2015. She was the anchor of the daily CNN Financial News show “Street Sweep” from the New York Stock Exchange. Hopkins now runs her own strategic communications and marketing company.
This year International Women’s Day asked us to #embraceequity. It takes the journey of women one step further to embrace equality but also understand that one size does not fit all and that a template approach may not have all the answers. At Citywealth we focus solely on career progression but we understand the differences and that women’s needs change depending on their geographic location and their career stage. Having formulated the Powerwomen contest with a professor from the London School of Economics we always lobbied for meaningful change and called for companies to resist tick boxing.
Karen Jones, Editor, Citywealth said “Citywealth sees 2023 and the next decade as an important landmark in the history of women in professional services. It is the first time, collectively where women are completing a full cycle in the work force. We see enormous benefit for future generations from their hard work and so celebrate all the Citywealth Powerwomen for their success in 2023.” The contest was judged by financial and societal success and achievements.

Citywealth Powerwomen awards have been run for 12 years and they were founded to help women with career progression in professional services globally. The contest was designed with the help of an LSE professor to bring meaningful change to women in financial services.

Francesca Boschini is based in New York and is in charge of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Americas cross-border and international wealth planning practice and of its insurance planning solutions platform. When working directly with clients Ms. Boschini provides technical assistance on wealth planning and insurance planning matters to U.S. and international families. She works to develop and execute solutions for the complex global wealth preservation, estate and insurance planning needs of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Ms. Boschini has over 20 years of experience in the wealth planning field. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at RBC Wealth Management for 18 years, as head of its U.S. & International Wealth Planning team and served as a Director on the RBC Delaware Trust Company Board of Directors. Ms. Boschini has won numerous awards during her career. Most recently she was named as Top 100 Global Wealth Management Advisors 2022.
