Citywealth Leaders List interview: 60 seconds with Judith Peterson, DwellFi
This week’s 60-second piece is dedicated to Judith Peterson, CMO of DwellFi and a Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2025 – USA Business Services – Woman of the Year.

Tell Citywealth readers a bit about your role.
As a CMO, I solve growth challenges through GTM strategies. A key part of my role has been to drive market adoption of both emerging tech (Enterprise AI, Tokenization, and Blockchain) and/or asset classes (Digital Assets/Crypto) by educating and influencing the funds industry.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day involves the following: Meeting and understanding the Marketing and Sales team’s needs, harnessing insights from sales leadership into thought leadership, and spearheading collaboration with key referral partners on joint GTM initiatives (industry networking events, surveys, AI Labs/Workshops/Masterclasses).
Tell us about some recent, interesting client instructions/requests you have received.
It is always different from client to client based on where their understanding and internal decision-making process is for them. Recently, a client requested we help them organize their historical content and marketing intelligence into an organized, AI knowledgebase that could be harnessed and queried in real-time.
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping your clients to overcome them?
A pervasive challenge for clients is knowledge bottlenecks, where strategic insights remain trapped in silos or informal networks. We implemented an AI knowledgebase that aggregated and distilled their specific expertise (i.e., business leaders’ IP) which allowed more targetted content distributed within 48 hours of a discovery call.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
I would not describe myself as a technologist, however, I was able to architect a process leveraging my marketing skillset and Enterprise AI tools. Where traditionally in Marketing, there is a fear that technology will replace us as a profession. I was able to reshape that narrative and have a different perspective. I saw the technology as an opportunity to empower myself and my team so that we would be able to focus on high-value initiatives like alliance building or client-centric activities.
What do you consider to be the most important attributes of a leader?
Curiosity and discovery, which for me means, “Get curious before you get opinionated and/or have a preconceived notion or bias about a situation, challenge, or person. I’ve been fortunate to work in environments where the focus is been on finding a 3rd Option and being adaptable.
Who do you most admire and why?
My grandmother who left highscool at 16 to go to a Business college – which was very unheard of in the 1930s. At 68, when my grandfather passed, she had to learn about how to manage her finances having never written a check in her life. She had the ability to keep a positive attitude and laugh while always looking glamorous – even while teaching me to worm a fish hook so we could catch dinner on the lake.
Where was the last place you traveled to for work or pleasure?
My husband surprised me and took me to Provence for my birthday. We found so many tiny art galleries and a variety of cheeses and wines that aren’t available in the US which was enjoyable.
If you weren’t in this industry, what else might you be doing?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating and co-creating AI Masterclasses for clients and women. I see the potential that education has on uplevelling female talent in a way that it could be a path for equality and progression.
How do you relax after a long day?
My husband and I like to walk around various neighborhoods in NYC. You will find things off the beaten path as a tourist in your own city.
