Nyah manages a portfolio of trusts and estates which include UK, charitable and offshore trusts. She supports clients with the ever changing tax rules – explaining the complex nature of tax in a digestible way, putting it into context by using real life examples.
Nyah’s specialist area is the UK taxation of offshore trusts, and she deals with trusts initially set up in the United States, Jersey, Guernsey, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia as well as other jurisdictions. She advises on the tax consequences of a wide range of events, including distributing funds to a beneficiary, setting up trusts, moving a trust from one tax jurisdiction to another and winding up the settlement.
