Through its Global Infrastructure Fund IV (Infra IV) BlackRock Alternatives has acquired a majority interest in Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S).

BlackRock Alternatives, through its Global Infrastructure Fund IV (Infra IV), has acquired a majority interest in Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S), an Ontario-based provider of waste management, environmental, and recycling/circular economy services to over 30,000 Canadian municipal, commercial and industrial customers.

This marks Infra IV’s third investment since it raised US$4.5 billion in initial investor commitments last October. It has since then acquired Jupiter Power, a US-based energy storage developer and entered a joint venture with AT&T to launch broadband services in states not already served by the telecom company.

Infra IV seeks to build a diversified portfolio of essential, contracted infrastructure assets and businesses worldwide that are well-positioned to capitalise on three long-term structural trends being accelerated by the global energy transition – Decarbonization, Decentralization and Digitalization (3Ds). The fund has now successfully deployed capital across all 3Ds: Jupiter Power (decarbonization and decentralization), Gigapower – joint venture with AT&T (digitalization), E360S (decarbonization).
