Bedell Cristin key hire: Nancy Chien
Joining Bedell Cristin is Nancy Chien, a native Mandarin speaker. Chien, who was previously a senior associate at Ashurst in London, and was recognised in the Citywealth 2013 Jersey Future Leaders List, has qualified as a BVI lawyer. Chien is based in Jersey but the BVI team operates from offices in Tortola, Jersey and Singapore and advises on all aspects of BVI law including mainstream corporate finance work, joint ventures, listings, banking, funds, capital markets, sale and purchase transactions and private client asset holding structures.
Update on Nancy Chien
Nancy Chien is now a well-established partner at Bedell Cristin and leads its International Private Client practice in Jersey. She is dual qualified (Jersey and BVI) and among the few in her field who has deep cross-jurisdictional expertise spanning private and corporate matters.
She is qualified in four jurisdictions — Jersey, BVI, England & Wales (non-practising) and New Zealand. Nancy is also recognised in Citywealth’s Leaders List, having been named in its “Leading Lawyers” category as a “Prominent Figure,” and she has been included on Citywealth’s International Powerwomen lists.
In her role, Nancy continues to advise ultra-high net worth families, family offices, trustees and intermediaries on structuring, succession, regulatory, pensions/incentives and related corporate law matters.
