New York: Forum by day, Powerwomen Awards by early evening

The winners will be announced in New York on Wednesday 10 March 2027, as part of a wider Citywealth programme bringing together the Citywealth Forum USA and the Powerwomen Awards.

The Forum opens at 1pm, with BBC journalist Rebecca Jones moderating the programme.

The opening discussion, The New Geography of American Wealth, will examine how changing residency, marriage, divorce, taxation and succession are affecting wealthy families moving between US states and internationally. Kurt Rademacher, Partner and Head of the New York Office at Charles Russell Speechlys, is among the confirmed speakers.

Attention then turns to whether modern wealth structures can stand the test of time. Dynasty or Dysfunction? will examine dynasty trusts, family governance, succession, ageing founders and liquidity planning, including the roles played by US trust jurisdictions such as Delaware, South Dakota and Wyoming and international centres including Bermuda. Francesca Boschini of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management is confirmed for the session.

Later sessions move beyond conventional portfolios. The New Trophy Assets will consider sports ownership, art and alternative investments, including questions around valuation, liquidity and family office allocations.

A final panel will look at the changing international art market and how collectors are buying and structuring collections across the United States, Europe and Latin America.

Champagne and networking begin at 5pm, followed by the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, hosted by Rebecca Jones, and networking drinks until 7.30pm.
