CPR World Record Attempt – Play Your Part
On Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd September, Central London Alliance is aiming to set a bold new world record for the most people participating in a CPR relay, with a target of training and involving 4,000 participants.
Every individual taking part must be CPR-trained, meaning that thousands of people will gain the skills and raise awareness of a vital lifesaving technique whether we achieve the record or not.
Cardiovascular disease is responsible for ¼ of all deaths in the UK that’s equivalent to someone dying in the UK from a cardiac arrest every 3 minutes. Cardiac arrest can affect any age. Every week, 12 young, otherwise healthy people in the UK lose their lives to sudden cardiac death, and less that 1 in 10 survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
But, if CPR is performed within 2 minutes, by a bystander, then the chance of survival is increased by 81% and a 95% higher chance of surviving without significant brain damage compared to no CPR.

If you are not CPR trained, Central London Alliance will share a 15-min online CPR training course for you to participate in.

Venue: Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hospitality, 100 Minories, London, EC3N 1JY
You must arrive within your allocated 30-minute session. There will be plenty to do in the queue and some exciting give aways. Registration fees will be going to charity partners together with covering administrative charges.
