Connie Smith, a Chartered Governance Professional and Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, is the Managing Director of Vistra Group’s operations in Barbados. Before this, Connie was a Partner at EY Caribbean and spearheaded the development and management of the firm’s British Virgin Islands office for several years.
Connie is the inaugural Chair of Business Barbados, a recently formed commercial, state-owned, business facilitation agency designed to improve, enhance and modernise the way business is conducted in Barbados. She also serves on the Board of Invest Barbados, the economic development agency of the government of Barbados, as an independent director. Connie is a member of the Board of Directors of Grantley Adams International Airport Inc., the sole airport in Barbados and the key aviation hub of the Eastern Caribbean. She is a founding member, Director and Vice President of the International Women’s Forum Barbados Chapter and the Honorary Consul of Spain in Barbados. A citizen and resident of Barbados, Connie is a dedicated professional and an active philanthropist, contributing to various charitable endeavours in her community.
