Profile

Shirley joined the Bank as Senior Private Banker at the end of 2021, having returned to the UK from Singapore, where she worked for The Global CIO Office. Prior to moving to Asia in 2019, Shirley held Director roles at Close Brothers Asset Management and Coutts (both in the UK and Singapore), in addition to senior client roles at South Africa based BoE Private Bank. Shirley is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Throughout her career, Shirley has focused on client service and building long term trusted relationships with clients. She has significant client experience and understands the wealth solutions needed by high net worth individuals and their families, focusing in particular on working collaboratively with fellow professionals in the legal and accounting professions to help clients achieve their financial objectives.

Shirley is a passionate advocate for empowering women in finance. She champions women both as professionals and as clients of the industry and is focused on ensuring that women are better served by the industry to help them achieve their financial goals.

Outside of her role at Weatherbys, Shirley enjoys running and regular boxing sessions to keep fit. She has also been learning Bridge and has dusted down her golf clubs now that her two children are independent.
