Karen Jones
Karen founded Citywealth after a career at News International, The Times, and Sunday Times in the legal, financial and recruitment sections. She also ran the Legalease flagship title Legal Business/Asia Pacific Legal 500, and launched Legal Business Awards and Legal 500 events.
She founded Citywealth in 2005 and her work as a Citywealth founder and CEO was recognised by multiple awards, having gained no less than eleven Stevie awards in total, with four gold awards amongst these – Female Entrepreneur of the Year (2017) , Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Business Services (2023) and Woman of the Year – Business Services (2024). The growing development of the Powerwomen Awards USA was recognised by another gold Stevie award in the Achievement in International Expansion category in 2024.
Karen’s contributions to business were also noted by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry SME London Business Awards, presenting her with a silver Business Woman of the Year award in 2024.
Charlotte Hill
Charlotte is an experienced commercial litigator. She is recognised as being ‘exceptional’, with ‘genuine skill and business understanding’ and ‘an ability to get to the point of legal issues which is unsurpassed’ – ‘a brilliant addition to any client’s arsenal’.
She advises on a broad range of complex, high-value cross-border disputes across a number of commercial and business sectors, including financial services (having previously been on secondment at a large institutional bank), company disputes, corporate insolvency and civil fraud. She has specialist expertise in emerging tech and digital assets disputes and is a well-known industry commentator in this space. In 2023, Charlotte won the esteemed title of ‘Woman of the Year – FinTech/Crypto Innovation – UK’ at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards, for the impact of her work in the sector.
Charlotte is a committee member of the London Solicitor Litigation Association, having formerly spent two years as the elected President of the Junior LSLA. She is also the chair of EMEA for Multilaw’s Young Lawyers Group (having won Multilaw’s ‘Rising Star’ award in 2024), vice-chair of the Cyber Insurance Association, and vice-chair of the Law Society’s Civil Justice Committee. She formerly sat on the Law Society Council on behalf of civil litigators.
Victoria Toy
I am a children specialist at AFP Bloom, a specialist London practice who act exclusively in the area of family law.
My practice regularly involves:-
