She founded Citywealth in 2005 and her work as a Citywealth founder and CEO was recognised by multiple awards, having gained no less than eleven Stevie awards in total, with four gold awards amongst these – Female Entrepreneur of the Year (2017) , Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Business Services (2023) and Woman of the Year – Business Services (2024). The growing development of the Powerwomen Awards USA was recognised by another gold Stevie award in the Achievement in International Expansion category in 2024.

Karen’s contributions to business were also noted by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry SME London Business Awards, presenting her with a silver Business Woman of the Year award in 2024.

She assists with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and lifetime trusts, and specialises particularly in those with a cross-jurisdictional aspect. In addition, Alice advises on a variety of probate cases and strives to achieve a kind, efficient approach for clients at what can be a stressful and emotional time.

Before becoming a lawyer, Alice worked in the third sector and has a particular interest in philanthropy. Alongside her work, she acts as a trustee for a national military charity.

Gilles graduated from the University of St.Gallen in 2019 and was admitted to the bar and as Notary Public in 2022. In 2025 Gilles qualified as Certified Tax Expert. Prior to joining Fischer Ramp Buchmann, he worked with leading international firms in Zurich and St.Gallen.

Gilles is a member of the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Associations.
His working languages are German, English and French.

James is a Partner at The International Family Law Group LLP.

He specialises in all areas of children law, with particular expertise in international children matters.

James is a Solicitor Advocate, and regularly conducts his own advocacy in the Family Court and also in the High Court.

James is highly experienced in cases concerning the international movement of children. He is a specialist in international parental child abduction cases and is regularly instructed by the parents and children within the UK and abroad, as well as by the Central Authority.

In a series of firsts, James was involved in the first 1980 Hague Convention child abduction case between Japan and the UK, the first cases concerning the inherent jurisdiction and the 1996 Hague Convention to reach the UK Supreme Court, the first appeal case to concern the interpretation of Brussels II Revised enforcement provisions, and the first reported cases of children being returned to Algeria and to Sudan.  He has also acted for clients in many high-profile and widely reported appeals, interventions and committals.

James is much in demand as a speaker at seminars and conferences both within the UK and abroad. He is one of just a handful of lawyers admitted to Bar of Akrotiri and Dhekelia, having appeared in what is thought to be the first international children case in that jurisdiction.

Jutta Gangsted is a counsel in our Private Client group based in Geneva. She advises families, trustees and family offices on cross-border estate planning matters, navigating common and civil law in matters of business succession, trusts and foundations, philanthropy, art matters and relocation.

She also assists clients in trust-related disputes, including in relation to protector/trustees’ duties and beneficiaries’ information rights. Before joining Lenz & Staehelin, Jutta worked at a U.S. law firm in Brussels. She holds an LL.M. from Columbia, is admitted to the New York Bar, and earned the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management with the highest overall score in Switzerland and Liechtenstein for the diploma and individual examinations. Recognised in Lexology Index for Private Client & Offshore Services (formerly Who’s Who Legal), she was named ‘Outstanding Individual of the Year’ at the 2025 Citywealth Future Leaders Awards and is listed in the Private Client Global Elite Directory.

Rachel advises UK and international clients on UK tax and trust, estate and succession matters.

Many of Rachel’s clients are individuals and families who have connections to and assets in multiple jurisdictions. She frequently assists such clients with their arrival to or departure from the UK by providing advice on residence, UK tax and compliance obligations. She also advises clients on global asset holding structures. She has experience advising in relation to a wide range of assets, including real estate, private equity investments and family businesses.

Rachel appreciates the issues arising on the generational transfer of wealth and family governance. She helps clients navigate these concerns and to plan for the future by advising on asset holding structures, lifetime planning, wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Rachel has particular experience advising individual and institutional trustees, as well as beneficiaries and protectors of trusts. She advises them on their duties, rights and responsibilities and on trust documentation.

She can also assist with compliance issues and provides advice on the Register of Overseas Entities.

Rosie is a managing associate in Womble Bond Dickinson’s Private Wealth Disputes team.

Rosie advises and represents our clients in respect of a full range of issues that can arise in contested, high value and complex trusts and estates (both domestic and offshore), including advising on minimising the risk of disputes and also litigating from the pre-action to final hearing/trial stages.

She advises and represents individuals, families, trustees, charities and financial institutions.

This includes disputes concerning the validity of Wills and trusts, trustees’ decisions and disclosure, the administration and management of (often complex) estates and trusts, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

She acts in a number of independent administration and trusteeship matters, where the advice and oversight of independent professionals is requested following a breakdown in relationships between family members and/or fiduciaries.

She has experience in Variation of Trusts Act applications; professional negligence claims relating to trusts and estates; and proprietary estoppel claims. She has experience of resolving disputes when a person has lost mental capacity, including in the Court of Protection.

She is a member of the Contentious Trusts Association, and she is an Associate Member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
