I couldn't recommend Ben highly enough, keep up the fantastic work and thank you for everything you do for me.
Ben was (and has been ever since) very pleasant, courteous and ran through the account opening documents, his Investment Proposal and his background in the finance industry.
Consequently, my husband and I opened an account with Ben at Tilney and have been impressed by his attention to detail and friendly manner where nothing is too much trouble. Despite being "newbies" to Ben, we are very impressed and encouraged by the regular updates and informative emails from Ben.
We are pleased Ben has been nominated for an award and both hope to be part of his ongoing successes in the future.
Very few investment advisors/directors these days have had the broad and depth of investment knowledge that Ben has gained in the past, mostly these days limited to in-house funds and corporate offerings with very little product knowledge of the investments, less have any Advisory stock picking skills.
Add all that to the high star ratings given for his excellent communication skills, personal relation skills with clients and fees highly competitive within the industry, I cannot find any ares that Ben does not tick the box and most importantly, someone who one can build a reliable long term business relationship based on trust
Case Studies
Personal Injury Settlements
Work with a large number of clients who are the recipient of personal injury settlements, I work with their professional Deputy or Trustees as the wealth manager to manage the award in a tax efficient manner. This regularly includes J/ISA contributions, de minimis pension contributions and a portion being managed in an offshore bond. In addition to investing the money we also ensure their Periodical Payment Orders are correctly adjusted each year and life cover where appropriate can be provided.
Advising two business partners who sold their business
Advising two business partners who sold their business and sat on cash for a long time, they both have a rolled up equity stake in the larger PE backed business and do not require the capital. We have established a plan for the proceeds, drip fed the money in to markets to not expose them to unnecessary volatility given first exposure to investing. Further plan in place for their equity stake which is likely to be realised in coming years. Also need to be able to generate sufficient income to meet expenditure if they start up again in due course and are without salaries for a while.
