Peer review:
A very rare combination of remarkable intelligence and sensitivity to his client's needs and wishes. I have worked with him, and seen how much value he adds for his clients, and how smoothly he steers them through the choppiest of waters. I've recommended him to friends with international wealth issues, and do not do that lightly.

Private Client review:
I have been working with David for the past 20 years and have appreciated his high quality legal advice and good old fashioned common sense approach during that time. He is a very safe pair of hands to have on and at one's side

Peer review:
David combines a brain the size of a planet, with a sure and gentle touch. He has steered a large and complex international estate through the reefs and shoals of tax issues, trust & trustee issues, investment issues and many more, resolving here and defusing there. A renaissance man in the trust & estate world. I have worked with him throughout this challenging matter, growing in my admiration throughout. His clients are very fortunate indeed to have retained his services.

Case Studies
Administration of an estate worth in excess of £140M
David has been providing the lead coordinating role in the administration of an estate worth in excess of £140m, together with associated family trusts worth over £60m. This is a complex estate which has involved the coordination of significant cross-border tax advice. Some beneficiaries are US taxpayers and this has necessitated coordinating the US advice with the wider UK tax and trust issues. Recent work has focused on a possible Initial Public Offering of one of the companies in which the estate and associated family trusts have a major holding. In addition, there has been extensive cross-border planning in coordinating bespoke sub-trusts for the US beneficiaries of the estate.
