David acted collaboratively for a wife of an entrepreneur who had established a household name company. The family wealth was structured through a Jersey trust, which held property in the UK and the USA. David successfully negotiated a deal which gave his client fifty percent of the assets.David acted for a banker on the dissolution of his civil partnership where a significant financial claim was made by a non-working civil partner. David has been involved in a number of high profile reported cases in recent times, including the line of cases culminating in the Court of Appeal authority of Xanthopoulos v Rakshina [2024] EWCA Civ 100. He also acted for the wife in Tsvetkov v Khayrova [2023] EWFC 130 and in PM v RM [2025] EWFC 11 – The latter was an interim application for maintenance and legal fees for a wife whose husband was found to have misrepresented the family’s financial position. FLiP secured monthly maintenance in excess of £30,000 for their client and a substantial legal fees payment to enable her to be suitably represented in the ongoing divorce and financial proceedings.
