She has built a reputation as one of the leading women in wealth management and a prominent voice in advancing women’s visibility in the sector.
Career Background
Karen’s career foundation was in newspapers, spending nearly a decade at The Times and The Sunday Times, before leading Legal Business magazine and its awards. Since founding Citywealth, she has grown it into a respected brand known for editorial quality, prestigious awards such as the Magic Circle Awards, and thought-leadership features with top industry experts each week.
Recognition and Awards
Her achievements include nine Stevie Awards for Women in Business (including two Gold), the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry SME Business Woman of the Year (2024), and the prestigious Freedom of the City of London. Karen also holds voting rights for the Lord Mayor of London.
Education and Expertise
Academically, she has studied at London Business School, LSE, and the University of Oxford Said Business School – Women’s Leadership, furthering her expertise in finance, strategy, and emerging technologies. In parallel to her publishing work, she is Citywealth’s Anti-Money Laundering Officer and is pursuing qualifications in Forensic Accounting, Fraud Examination, and AML.
