Tell Citywealth readers a bit about your role.
I am a Private Wealth partner at Katten with a focus on sophisticated gift, estate and personal planning for international and domestic ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I am in the office unless traveling for business most days. My day typically consists of meeting with existing clients in person or on zoom throughout the day and with other advisors in other jurisdictions on my clients’ matters. I am also meeting with our associates and counsel reviewing and finalizing legal work for clients for much of the day, as well as responding to many emails during the course of the day.
What challenges do your clients face and how are you helping your clients to overcome them?
My clients are navigating an ever-changing world of geo-political volatility, tax reform and increasing transparency. They are focused on creating robust yet flexible dynastic structures to shepherd their family wealth through future generations.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
Certainly, my Citywealth Magic Circle Awards: Woman of the Year Gold Award, 2022, and Powerwomen Awards: Woman of the Year, North America Silver Award, 2019, and North America Gold Award, 2020, and being co-Chair of STEP NY are among some of my proudest professional achievements.
What do you consider to be the most important attributes for a leader?
Consistency, vision, integrity, excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Where was the last place you travelled to for work or pleasure?
The last place I travelled to for pleasure was to St. Barthelemy.
If you weren’t in this industry, what else might you be doing?
I would be a history professor.
How do you relax after a long day?
I spend time with my family.
