WIE Symposium on International Womens Day

A select group of the most inspirational women in British business has been chosen to be honoured and celebrated by WIE at their annual symposium this International Women’s Day at London’s Hospital Club.

On 8th March, a host of influential women and men from across the globe including, Lady Lynn de Rothschild, Martha Lane Fox, Dame Gail Rebuck and Sian Westerman will gather for the third annual WIE Symposium in London to offer insight and guidance for the younger generation.

The day commences with the WIE50 Power Breakfast, in association with the London Stock Exchange and CNBC, an event that recognises the remarkable achievements of fifty of the most inspirational women in British business.

The WIE Symposium will see women from the world of business, politics, fashion and entertainment lead a series of panels and workshops designed to inspire and empower the next generation. The symposium will feature influencers such as Lynne Franks, Lisa Winning, David Gandy, Natasha Corrett and Kelly Hoppen MBE. Panel discussion topics include ‘Working Mum’s’, ‘Can Women Have It All?’ and ‘Women in Media’. There will also be a ‘Spotlight’ discussion with Amanda de Cadenet. This year, WIE Symposium will launch the inaugural WIE Prize, which gives young female entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their start up ideas to judges including: Simon Franks (Co-Founder LoveFilms), Shaa Wasmund (Founder & CEO Smarta.com), Luke Johnson (CEO Highrisk Capital & former Chairman Channel4) and Kanya King (Founder & CEO Mobo). The winner will not only receive a seed investment of ¬£15,000, but will also gain the judges’ commitment and expertise as mentors. Marketing Guru Linzi Boyd will help bring the winning product/business to market.
