The five-star Waldhotel Health & Medical Excellence at Bürgenstock Hotel & Resort Lake Lucerne has launched a comprehensive Covid Bounce Back Programme. With the in-house medical centre combining Swiss medical excellence and state of the art technology, the new seven-day offer is tailored to enable guests to recover post-pandemic and attain a more balanced and sustained level of personal health.

The Waldhotel is a revolutionary medical wellness centre offering physical and mental well-being through a ‘Healthy by Nature’ concept. It features an elite team of multidisciplinary physicians, ranging from cardiology, internal medicine, dermatology, orthopaedics, psychosomatics, dentists to nutrition and gastroenterology, all with a depth of expertise to treat and prevent health concerns using treatments at the highest level. Its location in the Bürgenstock Resort, 500 metres above Lake Lucerne and amidst pristine Alpine nature, allows guests to reconnect and focus on their health and wellbeing.

Under the guidance of Medical Director Prof Dr Verena Briner and her team of medical experts and physicians, a new preventive programme was defined to help boost the immune system and lower the risk of viral infections while strengthening the organism’s response to harmful factors which could lead to immuno-compromised deficiencies.

The extensive physical examinations include ultrasound and blood analysis as well as in-depth lung function tests, biometric scans, an electrocardiogram, while pulmonary physiotherapy and personal training sessions will strengthen guests’ bodies. Waldhotel Executive Chef Martin Stein reactivates and sensitizes the sense of taste and smell during a private cooking class.

“Our longstanding expertise in preventative care combined with the state-of-the-art medical technology, innovative healthy nutrition, latest trends in aesthetic medicine and cosmetology, as well as, bespoke activities in a five-star lifestyle environment, will allow our guests to renew within a week”, says Christian Sack, General Manager of the Bürgenstock Resort. The Waldhotel has also announced the appointment of Jino Omar as the General Manager from July 2021.

The secluded location of the Bürgenstock Resort and its Waldhotel guarantees the upmost privacy, security and health standards. Zurich airport just an hour away and helipads allow for fast and convenient arrival. Private jets land at nearby Buochs Airport, a 15-minute drive away.
