Tom Kerridge becomes chef of the season at Harrods

From 1st October to 5th January 2016, two Michelin-starred Tom Kerridge joins its much-celebrated Food Halls as guest chef for the store’s ongoing foodie campaign, Chef of the Season.

Kerridge, the founder of Marlow’s The Hand & Flowers and The Coach, will offer a selection of dishes-to-go, which will be presented in a dedicated area within the traiteur counter. Customers will also be able to experience an exclusive pop-up restaurant for one week, all within the Harrods Food Halls.

To kick things off, on 1st October Tom will present a comforting winter menu. An ode to chef’s love of traditional, hearty cooking, menu highlights include guinea fowl terrine walnut and celery mayo; chicken kiev with mushroom ketchup; shin and bone marrow pie and a chocolate and ale mousse with salted caramel and frosted pecans.

A Christmas menu will then take residency from 12th November to 5th January 2016. The menu will offer a contemporary take on Christmas classics including curried parsnip soup with honey oil; honey roast ham with salt baked pineapple; stuffed turkey with brown sauce and crumble topping and a spiced orange cake with a plum and cinnamon sauce.

A nod to Kerridge’s highly anticipated UK book launch of Tom’s Table: My Favourite Everyday Recipes on 24th September, the chef will host a pop-up restaurant in the historic Harrods Food Halls from 2nd to 8th November. The 21 cover, counter restaurant aptly named Tom’s Table at Harrods will offer customers the unique opportunity to watch the chefs cooking at the grill. The pop-up will offer discerning London foodies a three course set menu with wine pairing featuring signature dishes from the recipe book and his restaurants; The Hand & Flowers and The Coach. Dishes include crispy pig’s head with sweet date sauce, pancetta and chickweed and venison chilli with puffed rice and 100% chocolate served with the infamous Hand & Flowers triple cooked chips.
