The Bürgenstock Selection launches ‘Swiss Escape’
The Bürgenstock Selection, Switzerland’s largest deluxe hotel group, launches ’Swiss Escape’ to take guests on a journey across Bern, Lausanne and Lucerne.

In celebration of Burns Night on Saturday 25th January, East London cocktail bar, The Sun Tavern is honouring everything great about Scotland with a special collaboration alongside Craigellachie Whisky. For a day of unmissable events, the teams are joining forces to bring guests all the Scottish classics, including a daytime Craigellachie whisky tasting experience, a Scotch cocktail menu from Iain McPherson of Edinburgh’s famous Panda & Sons and free haggis balls from the legendary Deeney’s, ready to raise a glass to the National Bard himself.
Notoriously one of the busiest days of the year, The Sun Tavern will kick off the celebrations with Scotch expert Andrea Montaque, hosting a daytime Whisky Tasting exploring the flavour profiles and distinctive traits of Craigellachie, 13yr, 17yr and the much sought after 23yr. Delving deep into the history of Craigellachie, drams will be tasted alongside Canon & Canon Scottish charcuterie, which has been cured especially for the occasion and the perfect accompaniment to the whisky flight.
As the Burns Night celebrations take hold, Iain McPherson, owner of Edinburgh’s award-winning Panda & Sons will be jumping behind the bar and serving up a special menu of his Scotch favourites. The proud Scot has brought together his most legendary drinks to accompany an impeccable selection of cocktails created by The Sun Tavern exclusively for Burns Night including the Afton Water with Craigellachie 13yr, Poitín, Amaro Montenegro, Honey, Toasted Pecan Bitters – named for the dainty river in Ayrshire, the subject of Rabbie Burns’ poem of the same name.
Keeping guests sustained throughout the evening, the legendary Deeney’s from Broadway Market will be providing free haggis balls for the ultimate Scottish staple, before guests are treated to renditions of Robert Burns, paying homage to the Scottish Bard himself. Drawing the celebrations to a close, a DJ set from a special guest will run late into the evening, ending a day of Scottish shenanigans, whilst toasting a dram or two to Scotland’s most famous poet.
