Sun Street Hotel has launched The Orangery Bar & Kitchen where guests can enjoy delicious cocktails alongside a sharing-style menu of European classics.
In October 2022, multi-award-winning hotel brand Bespoke Hotels added to its portfolio a five-star luxury hotel hosting 41 stunning hotel rooms, Sun Street Hotel. Inspired by the townhouses that were once in its place, Sun Street Hotel exhibits aspects of Georgian stylisation in its interiors, met by a more contemporary feel. The juxtaposition of traditional Georgian frontage and vibrantly elegant interiors represents the hotel’s location at the intersection of two contrasting areas of the capital – the City of London and Shoreditch.
Sun Street Hotel decided to launch The Orangery Bar & Kitchen, a place where guests can unwind and enjoy delicious cocktails alongside a sharing-style menu of European classics in a casual atmosphere flooded with natural light.
The Orangery boasts a beautiful glass roof and stylish, modern accents, which help create a relaxing sanctuary for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Alongside burnt orange leather furnishings and exposed brick walls, tropical greenery is a design highlight in this space, and mirrors the subtle exotic elements featured throughout the food and drinks menus.
Lounging in a sun-bathed atrium, guests can enjoy an all-day dining menu, which offers a variety of small, sharing and larger plates utilising the best of local produce, with fresh and vibrant flavours reflected in the styling of the space. The menu includes: Oysters, light bites such as Popcorn Shrimp with spicy mayonnaise, sharing plates, like Lentil Hummus with garlic flat bread, and delicious larger plates, such as Salted Beetroot and Romanesco with dukka seeds, Crispy Chicken Rendang Burger and the Sun Street Club Sandwich, Chicken Breast with Wasabi Mayo, Beef Bacon and Fries.
The Bar menu’s offering of fantastical ‘Google Bird’ Signature Cocktails shouldn’t be missed. Exotic elements can be spotted throughout, with each cocktail in this list embodying the spirit of the magical birds imagined by VC Vickers. From the Poggle and Tango, to the Great McDoo and the Sun Bird, lines from the original book are displayed in the Bar menu.
Alternatively, guests can choose from a wide range of spirits and liqueurs, locally sourced beer and cider, a superb selection of wines by the glass, soft drinks, Illy Coffee and East India Teas.
