Sanlam UK hires ex-CBAM Penny Lovell and launches a private office
Sanlam UK has appointed ex-Close Brothers Asset Management head of private client, Penny Lovell, to launch its new private office proposition.
Lovell will join the Group’s EXCO and assume the role of CEO of Sanlam private office.She joins from Close Brothers Asset Management, where she spent the last five years as head of private client service. Previously she was MD at Rothschild Wealth Management, and has held senior positions at Fleming Family & Partners and Coutts.
Commenting on Lovell’s appointment and the launch of Sanlam’s private office, Jonathan Polin, Group CEO, said: “The forthcoming launch of a private office extends our service in the UK and bolsters our ability to offer tailored solutions for an increasing complex and bespoke set of needs from high net worth clients.

Sanlam now controls over £12 billion in assets.
