Members of the Peace and Sport Foundation selected The Winner of the Peace and Sport Grand Prix 2008 on Monday 21 October during the Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Awards for the best slow-motion sequences of the year.

The prize to be awarded jointly by Jo√´l Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport, and David Tomatis, Chief Executive Officer of SPORTEL during the Gala Evening at the “International Forum Peace and Sport” on the 4th of December, in Monaco. This major event will take place under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco in the presence of over 150 decision-makers from the worlds of politics, sport, business and civil society.

Jo√´l Bouzou declared: “SPORTELMonaco is the most important international meeting for sport, television and new media. We are extremely proud that it has joined our initiative to promote peace through sport across the world. This award will create a competition that will encourage the media to focus more on this essential dimension of sport: i.e. bringing together individuals and communities, promoting fraternity and respect.”

David Tomatis added: “I would like to thank Peace and Sport for trusting in SPORTEL for the collaboration in such a prestigious award. I am confident that the projects developed emphasizing on human values which only sport can gather will raise the awareness of SPORTEL’s economic actors.”
