Moses & Singer LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of Steve Lueker as a partner with the Tax, Banking & Finance and Internet & Technology practices.
With more than 25 years of experience advising companies on finance, technology, taxation and general business issues as both a banker and lawyer, Lueker helps companies at every stage of development, from formation and structuring to executing agreements and M&A strategies. His clients have included venture capital firms, investment funds, technology companies and platforms, insurers, banks, fintech startups, entrepreneurs and real estate investors. Given his broad familiarity with their business, he is also often tapped to serve as general counsel.
“Steve’s strong combination of financial analysis and legal skills make him a valuable asset to our team,” said Dean Swagert, Managing Partner of the firm. “His cross-border experience is particularly important to our growing base of clients in need of multi-jurisdictional support.”
“It’s exciting to join a firm that impressed me years ago after retaining them as outside counsel,” said Lueker, who had previously hired Moses & Singer when working as a banker at UniCredit Group. “Between uncertain tax legislation and constant movement in the fintech space, I’m eager to tackle new issues for companies with my talented new peers.”
Lueker comes to Moses & Singer from Offit Kurman, where he was principal. Previously, he was a partner at Lueker Mott Zezula LLC. His banking background includes serving as a director at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and as a corporate banker at UniCredit Group, a large European investment bank.
Lueker holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and an L.L.M. from New York University School of Law. He completed the Program on Negotiation (PON) for Senior Executives at Harvard University School of Law, and earned his B.S. from Wesleyan University. He is admitted to practice law in New York and California.
