Magic Circle Awards Special: Chris Lintott, Senior Counsel at Pennington Manches
What was the pivotal moment in your career?
One of the pivotal moments was in 1997 when I joined Penningtons, first as a consultant and then I became a partner in 2000. I assisted in building up what is one of the best private clients department in London.
Who has been a good influence on you?
I guess it has been my wife, my head of department. She has built up a really good department and she is a brilliant example of treating clients with great care and respect and providing advice not only legal but across the board. She is a trusted advisor and a lesson to all of us in how to approach a practice of the law.
What does being shortlisted for the Magic Circle Awards mean to you?
It’s a real thrill because Magic Circle Awards are really one of the blue ribbon awards of the private clients industry. And of course, all those awards are not just for one person, they are for a team. The team is also very thrilled because it’s a recognition for them of all they’ve done, all the extra hours they’ve put in.
