LGT Wealth Management announces top hire for IFA sustainable investment team
LGT Wealth Management has appointed Ben Palmer as Lead Portfolio Manager for its sustainable service offering for financial advisers.

Ben Palmer joins the Intermediary Investment Services team, headed up by Phoebe Stone, and is responsible for the LGT Wealth Management Sustainable Model Portfolio Service (SMPS) and the Verus sustainable multi-asset fund, both held across 17 platforms.
The award-winning SMPS, comprising five portfolios, has seen significant growth of over £1 billion since its launch in 2018. The team is supported by dedicated sustainable portfolio managers, researchers and analysts, along with LGT Private Banking’s global sustainable investing platform. LGT’s long-standing and holistic dedication to sustainability is core to its business strategy and further strengthens the proposition financial advisers can offer to their clients.
Ben joins from Brooks Macdonald where he was Head of Responsible Investment and co-ordinated investment research, portfolio construction, reporting and communication outputs and driving business development with the adviser community. Ben was named one of Investment Week’s ESG Influencers in 2021.
The expansion of the Intermediary Investment Services team comes at a time when interest in sustainable portfolios continues to rise both locally and internationally.
