LDC: Lloyds TSB Development Capital helping China
Established in 1981 LDC is a UK mid market private equity house and part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
Their current portfolio has sixty core busineses valued in excess of £2.5billion and in 2009 LDC invested £164mn into eleven businesses valued at more than £400mn in various business sectors.
LDC specialise in funding private UK domiciled companies or public companies looking to divest non core businesses of between ¬£2-100million. Money is available for management buyouts, instiutional buyouts, development capital and for ‘cash out’ transactions where founders are looking to sell out to management teams.
LDC has recently opened in Hong Kong to explore opportunities in China through Asian supply chains. and have already invested $30mn into a Chinese fund.
LDC have an entrepreneur club (The LDC Opportunity Club) also.
