Harrods at Christmas: pamper with a hamper

26 October 2017

Christmas magic is quietly making its way to London’s stores and Harrods are no exception. And with only eight weeks to go until the big day, Corporate Service at Harrods* can take some pressure off Christmas shopping with their carefully curated hamper collection.

This year, the store has upgraded their classic hamper design, offering wicker and leather, and the hampers now come in six sizes, all customizable with a monogrammed stamp rendered in copper foil.

If hampers don’t tickle your fancy, there are plenty of other gifts to choose from.

Coming straight from a family-run distillery in Enniskillen, Ireland, the Boatyard Double Gin and Old Tom Gin are this season’s must-haves. Beautifully flavoured, elegantly packaged and with a charming backstory, this gin will make a thoughtful present for any cocktail lover, or an interesting addition to a Christmas drinks cabinet.

Relax and rejuvenate with the Pamper Hamper, priced at £150. Filled with indulgent treats including rose scented Molton Brown body wash, hand cream and a scented candle, the hamper is complemented perfectly with Harrods Champagne and Marc de Champagne truffles.

For something smaller, little boxes of boozy sweets from Sugarfina seem an ideal stocking filler, while staples like cheeses, gravlax, Iberico ham, and freshly baked breads provide inspiration for a delicious Christmas entertaining experience.

Speaking of which, you can add something extra to your Christmas table from the array of treats by Hélène Darroze, Harrods’ two-Michelin-starred Chef of the Season, that include temptations such as chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms and truffle, and chestnut and blackcurrant mont blanc tart. The Hélène at Home range will be available from November 3rd until the end of December.

This year Harrods have also captured the quirkiness of teenage trends, offering a whole host of imaginative things you can’t believe someone actually thought of. The Spectacles video glasses, which stream footage directly to your phone, look to be the next ahead of the curve essential. Speakers, polaroid cameras and outlandish phone cases are just some of the gifts on offer, all set to be popular among teenagers this year.
