Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa.

13 October 2014

Edited by Suzanne Isaacs

Both buildings designed by acclaimed architect Victor Louis in the 18th century and mirroring each other across La Place de la Comédie square. The Opera House will be showing a ballet performance of The Nutcracker during the festive season.

In conjunction with this, their Artistic Designer Giulio Achilli will transform the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux into a Russian fairytale. This enchanting atmosphere will be elegantly and subtly created in the hotel’s public spaces including the lobby and the Orangerie (winter garden restaurant). Available between 12th-31st December, the package will include tickets and backstage access to the Bordeaux Opera House and an Opera-themed afternoon tea in the hotel’s Sauternes room, which dates back to 1904.

An ode to the art and décor of ballet, the Nutcracker Christmas package at Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa will be priced from €650 (approx: £521) and include:
.   Double room accommodation for two including daily breakfast
.   Dinner for two at ‘The Bordeaux’ brasserie, the hotel’s 19th-century Belle-Époque brasserie
