Boodle Hatfield advises on HedgeStart sale
Boodle Hatfield has advised HedgeStart, a specialist UK tax, accounting and regulatory compliance consultancy on its sale to Cordium for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2000, HedgeStart offers a range of start-up and ongoing outsourced services, including corporate and private client tax, FCA regulatory compliance, accountancy and payroll and strategic consulting,- to alternative investment businesses. The firm employs 36 people.
Cordium is a provider of regulatory compliance consulting and software services and related accounting and tax offerings to the asset-management and securities industry. It has offices in
London, New York, Boston, San Francisco and Hong Kong and employs more than 170 people who support more than 1,500 investment businesses. The Boodle Hatfield team was led by partner and head of Corporate Nigel Stone, with support from Corporate solicitor Lucy Myerson and employment advice from Darryl Evans. Stone said: “We have acted for HedgeStart for quite some time. We are delighted to have been able to see the firm grow and establish itself as a market leader and to be a part of its sale.” Pinsent Masons advised Cordium.
