Alan Mathewson starts as Brown Shipley CEO
Alan Mathewson has started his new role as CEO, following his appointment in October last year by wealth planners Brown Shipley.
Mathewson, 47, joins Brown Shipley from Santander UK where he worked as managing director, Wealth Management and Private Banking. Before that, he held other senior leadership positions during his twenty-two years with the business. These roles included CEO of Cater Allen Private Bank, CEO of Santander Insurance, CEO of Santander Cards and managing director of Santander’s Retail Branch Network.
Ian Sackfield, former Brown Shipley CEO, will remain with the business as a client director.
Alan Mathewson commented: “I am delighted to have taken up the reigns at Brown Shipley. I will look to further develop our client service proposition to ensure we continue to provide all our clients with a first class service.
“I would also like to thank Ian Sackfield for facilitating such a smooth transition. I now look forward to working with colleagues from across the business to help continue driving Brown Shipley forwards.”
