ACPI team takes on ‘Arch to Arc’ challenge to raise funds for children charities
On 6 October 2016, the ACPI Investment team will be taking on the ‘Arch to Arc’ challenge to raise money for two charities.Ronnie, Ceri, Panos, Chris, Doug, Jack, John and Simon will run around 90 miles from London’s Marble Arch to Dover, swim 21 miles across the English Channel, and then cycle 200 miles to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Each team member will take part in all three disciplines and form a continuous relay.
One of the charities they are raising money for, Yabonga,supports children affected by HIV and AIDS in the townships that surround Cape Town, SA. The money raised will go towards providing a new Youth Centre in Khayelitsha, the largest township that houses approximately 2 million people. The second organisation, the Kingfisher Community Special School,is for primary aged children with severe and complex special needs in Oldham, UK. The money raised will go towards building a much needed new hydrotherapy pool at Kingfisher.
