Chairwoman - Karen Jones

Karen founded Citywealth after a career at News International, The Times, and Sunday Times in the legal, financial and recruitment sections. She also ran the Legalease flagship title Legal Business/Asia Pacific Legal 500, and launched Legal Business Awards and Legal 500 parties. Karen then took over In Brief magazine, where she grew the organisation from a buyout where it had gone bankrupt to a successful £500,000-a-year publishing and events business. Her work as a Citywealth CEO was recognised by four New York Stevie Awards: Women helping women (2014, 2015), Innovator of the year (2015), and Entrepreneur of the year (2015).

Sarah Farrow
Frank Hirth

Sarah has 19 years’ experience in private client tax and specialises in dealing with high net worth individuals and their onshore and offshore structures. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP). Sarah is also a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Sarah trained with KPMG where she became involved in advising UK based wealthy families, providing income, capital gains and inheritance tax advice to individual family members and their UK Trusts. She later moved to the Channel Islands where she advised on UK tax issues for offshore trustees, UK residents, non-UK domiciliaries and non-UK resident individuals with assets or structures in the UK. Prior to moving to Frank Hirth, Sarah worked at a leading accounting firm where she advised very wealthy multi-national families, entrepreneurs and highly sophisticated investors from private equity and hedge fund backgrounds on structuring their worldwide assets efficiently. She has also acted for offshore trustees providing tax and trust advice on structures managed and administered by them. Sarah joined Frank Hirth in 2016 to head up the UK tax team and her tax knowledge and experience enhances our existing offering to clients. She also sits on the Tax Technical Team within Frank Hirth whose primary role is to provide technical support to the wider firm.

Michelle Tring
Associate Director

Michelle is an Associate Director and oversees the private client team based in Jersey. Michelle has over 16 years of experience in providing fiduciary services to both private and corporate clients, working with a wealth of different structures including employee benefit trusts and pensions, as well as wealth structures including trusts, private trust companies and foundations. Michelle moved to Jersey in 2002 to pursue a career in finance and has spent the majority of her career on the island, with the exception of a two-year period where she worked in Grand Cayman, specifically managing a portfolio of structures for predominantly Latin American clients. In her current role, Michelle and her team are responsible for managing a large portfolio of private client structures which span numerous jurisdictions and consist of a number of specialised structures with a variety of assets including artwork, property, investment portfolios , family companies and publicly quoted shares. The team pride themselves on providing a very high standard of service to each of their clients. Michelle achieved the Bronze award in 2018 for Inspirational Individual with Citywealth. She holds a BSc Honours degree in Business Management and has achieved the ICSA Diploma. She is currently working towards an MSc in International Finance.

Paul Rondel
IQ-EQ (Formerly First Names Group)
Associate Director, Private Client

Paul is an Associate Director for IQ-EQ in Jersey, with over 15 years’ experience in the fiduciary sector. Since joining the business as a Senior Trust Officer in 2008, he has continued to develop and hone his knowledge and technical expertise, achieving successive promotions along the way. Paul specialises in the provision of international wealth structuring and administration services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families and currently performs a dual role within IQ-EQ: overseeing a significant private client portfolio, predominantly with a UK connectivity, while also providing client-focused operational, transactional and technical support across our client administration teams. He is one of the key go-to experts in the Jersey office for FATCA/CRS policies and regulatory compliance and delivers support on these issues to several other jurisdictions within the Group’s network. An Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and no stranger to industry recognition, Paul took home the Gold award for Trustee of the Year in the 2018 Future Leaders Awards. He has also been featured twice in eprivateclient’s Top 35 Under 35 ranking, in 2013 and 2016.

Alice is a highly regarded private client adviser with significant experience advising on dynastic planning and wealth structuring including complex interjurisdictional tax, trusts and estate planning matters. She acts for a range of individual and institutional clients in a number of jurisdictions, including advising trust companies, charities and high-profile individuals.

Charlie Sosna
Mishcon de Reya

Charlie is a Partner in Mishcon Private's Tax and Wealth Planning team. His main practice areas are: UK and international tax; trusts; asset protection structuring; and lifetime planning for high-net and ultra-high net worth individuals, families and their trustees. Charlie frequently advises clients on their residence and domicile status, and advises on effective tax planning. He has been described as someone who offers 'high quality reliable advice, excellent client manner - a joy to work with', and who has 'a clear understanding of tax issues arising for private clients and identifies practical solutions'. Charlie is a member of Mishcon de Reya's multi-disciplinary Luxury Assets Group, which advises individuals and businesses on the buying, selling, structuring and protection of luxury assets including art, cars and other high-value collectables across the globe. In 2014 Charlie passed with distinction the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. Recommended by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, in 2018 he was named 'One to Watch' in Private Client Global Elite guide by Legal Week and recognised in eprivateclient's list of the Top 35 private client practitioners under 35 in 2012 and 2014.

Luned graduated from Manchester University and the Université de Bourgogne, France in 2006 with an LLB in English Law and French Law. Before joining Camilla Baldwin, Luned worked in the City of London as a Family Law Associate at a large City firm. Luned joined Camilla Baldwin in January 2017. Here she represents high profile and high net worth individuals with their complex and sophisticated financial affairs upon a divorce and/or separation, often with international elements involved Luned speaks fluent French and Welsh. She sits on the Young London French Chamber of Commerce committee, is a member of the Association of London Welsh Lawyers, the British Russian Law Association and the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA). Luned has been awarded Family Lawyer of the Year – Senior Associate in the Future Leader Awards (2018) hosted by Citywealth. Luned has been included in the Citywealth Leaders List 2018 where she is described as being “Exactly what you want in your lawyer. Totally on top of the detail and the law. Concise and elegant delivery of advice. Very impressive lawyer.” Luned was awarded Inspirational Individual of the Year at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2017. Luned has also been accredited by Resolution (a highly regarded national organisation of a family lawyers) with particular specialism in complex financial remedies for divorcing couples. This is an accreditation granted only to the top band of family lawyers in the country after a rigorous examination process testing technical expertise in family law, its practical application and excellent client service.

Annabel Watson

Relationship Manager (HNW & UHNW)

Annabel is a Relationship Manager at Deutsche Bank where she is responsible for managing relationships with HNW and UHNW clients and originating new business for the bank. She is also an ambassador for ESG investing across the bank. She was previously a Portfolio Manager at Cazenove Capital, where she managed money for HNWs/UHNWs and was involved in selecting US equity funds for the business. Prior to this she was a Portfolio Manager at C. Hoare & Co., the wealth management business of which was transferred to Cazenove in 2017. Annabel started working as an analyst in the UK equities team at Mirabaud Asset Management where she later became an Investment Manager in the private client team. She holds the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, has a MSc in Economics from the University of Oxford and a First Class Economics undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham. She is also currently Vice Chairman of The Queen’s Club.
