Healing spa waters in your face creams from Balaton Spa
Assuming you have fought the mental feminist wars about whether or not you want to be beautiful and buy into the media dream of what we should all be: youthful and appealing, then you are undoubtedly like me, buying up every lovely face cream and its promises to make you feel warm and glowing, sexy and fresh.
An area of much discussion, we all have our favourite brands or mineral types, spa varieties or even herbal infusions. In our new eco age we want the glitz of the packaging at Lizzy Arden but also the kindness of brands like Neils Yard. Torn between things that seem to deliver (or promise us they do) or helping mother earth, we probably scoop up a little bit of everything as we go, mixing essence of roses with more medical brands like Dr Sebagh.Particularly as you get older and creams seem to have to do that much more, but perform less and less.
Balaton, spa was not one of the preparations I'd seen before, but sent some to try, it arrived and sat on my shelf for a while. Initally the packaging didn't excite me so I mentally put it to the back of my mind and waited for a spare bit of time, to examine it more closely.
Balaton spa uses moorland areas of Europe called Pelloids which have been formed over 20,000 years and are areas of decomposed herbs, grasses, flowers and organic substances with vitamins, trace elements and minerals. They also use moor water in their products which is the main ingredient in many of their products but they also use white water lily, camomile, shea butter, lemon grass, lavender and rose oils.
The first thing I tried was the Balaton face mask which is 100% natural and says is like a mini face mask in three minutes. Sounded good. I stepped in the shower and then the surprise. Within is not the usual whitey pink cream we have come to expect but a thick, jet black mineral mud. It is exciting. I could start to feel the ooh factor oozing from my jar. The thing I liked was the three minute idea. Its easy to do in the shower than having to put aside an hour to sit like an alien with a black or green face mask on in front of the Tv. It suits our, have it now, lifestyle.
My face felt lovely and soft afterwards so I moved on to the cleanser and toner which sprizes the face with botanical moor water and has a smell or lemons and limes. The toner has a firming effect and makes your face look radiant, fresh and toned - as though your forehead did a work out with a personal trainer.
Balaton eye gel made from nutrient rich Moor water, which you only have to use a tiny bit of is for your eyes and it feels simple to use and goes on easily without dragging the skin or making it look puffy (a particular problem of mine). I couldnt detect an improved appearance but it is certainly nice to use.
Having an older skin (43 years and counting), I went for the Balaton spa rich day cream. Its thick but light and although it takes a bit of rubbing in, my skin, which is very dry, needs these thicker preparations. The cream sinks right in and there is no sagging or feeling that its too heavy, quite the opposite my skin looks firm and younger than its years.
I am now completely bought in to Balaton spa products and they have become my daily routine. I spent a bit more time on the face mask and left it on properly and it is lovely and feels as good, if not considerably better, than big brand stuff. It makes bathing an absolute pleasure as you look forward to sharing it with your new best friend, Balaton spa.
